Closing the financial year of 2023-24, SIDA successfully hosted a pivotal event at the Courtyard by Marriott Madurai. This gathering was both a celebration of the year’s achievements and a significant moment for leadership transition within the organisation.

We had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Yeshwanthrao Tharkeswar, a renowned authority in the technology industry. His extensive experience, shaped by prominent roles at global powerhouses such as Unilever, TCS, British Telecom, and Barclays Bank Plc, enriched the event with unparalleled SQA insights. Particularly noteworthy is his international exposure, especially in the UK market, which he generously shared with our attendees.

Session Insights

Mr. Tharkeswar’s presentation focused on contemporary challenges in software development. He shared his profound philosophy, “Quality is not an act; it is a habit,” which echoes Aristotle’s wisdom and encapsulates the essence of enduring quality practices.

We at SIDA (Software Industries Development Association) are proud to share the resounding success of our recent event, “SIDA SPEAKS: Embracing the Future: Azure AI and Innovative Solutions,” held on 29th December 2023 at Courtyard by Marriott Madurai.

The event was a melting pot of innovative ideas and stimulating discussions. Our distinguished speaker, Mr. Abhijeet from Tech Data, captivated the audience with a comprehensive and insightful presentation on Azure AI. He delved into the intricacies of AOAI and Copilot, offering a deep dive into how these technologies are shaping the future of AI and cloud computing. His speech not only enlightened us on the technical aspects but also explored the practical applications and impact of these technologies in various industries. The audience was particularly impressed with his perspective on the transformative power of AI in enhancing business processes and driving innovation.

We warmly welcome and thank Ms. Bharathi and Mr. Amirtharaj, who joined us from Digital Track Solutions Madurai just in time for the event and played a crucial role in its organization. Their support was invaluable in making this event a success.

Workshop on “Go To Market Strategy”

On the 5th of September, 2023, the Marriott in Madurai was abuzz with enthusiastic professionals and entrepreneurs. The event, jointly hosted by NASSCOM and SIDA, titled “Arriving at the Right Go-To-Market Strategy,” was an overwhelming success, providing attendees with unique insights into the world of marketing.

A hearty thank you to NASSCOM for collaborating with SIDA to make this event possible. Such partnerships are a testament to our shared commitment to fostering knowledge-sharing and growth in the industry.

We were honored to have Mr. Ajeesh Venugopal as the key speaker for the event. His expertise and insights into marketing strategies were enlightening. Ajeesh seamlessly covered various critical aspects of marketing, right from the basic differences between marketing and sales to the intricate details of brand positioning. Every topic he touched upon was backed by real-life examples, making the session both informative and engaging.

We’re excited to announce that the SIDA SPEAKS Event AWS’s AI & Machine Learning Services was a great success! The event took place on 27th March 2023 at the Courtyard by Marriott Madurai, and more than 50 member companies participated.

During the event, Mr. Ramanuja Vidyanta, an AI & ML Specialist from AWS, provided valuable insights into how AI & Machine Learning can help improve operational processes, reduce risk, increase revenue, enhance customer experience, and innovate on new products and services. He also discussed the services’ breadth and how to use them to infuse ML in applications or build new models. The event also showcased prominent use cases across various industries, such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, Retail, Media, and Healthcare.
