Human nature is that we tend to get attached with others who understand us, fulfil our needs and desires and generally take care of us. But when a human and a smartphone develop a similar bond, it should seem to be out of the ordinary. But it is not, when the gadget in question is the Samsung Galaxy S III – the smartphone right on top of the Samsung lineup.

While reviewing the unit I got so attached to it that even I set my photograph as the wallpaper, as if I owned it.

Before delving further into the review, let me put the verdict upfront – If you can afford it, go and get it. It will in all probability start a new love story between you and your Samsung Galaxy S III.

My review unit was white. However, the phone comes in two colours – marble white and pebble blue. The Galaxy S III is available for under Rs 39,000 in the Indian market.

The most powerful advantage of the Internet for the SMEs is an improved level of customer interaction which is achieved by exploiting the participatory nature of today’s internet.

While SMEs constitute 17 percent of India\’s GDP they are responsible for 25 percent of private-sector employment. Almost all the high and medium web SMEs added jobs during the last three years but 17 percent of low- or no-web companies did not, says the report.Given that the SMEs have such a track record of job creation, policies that encourage more of these companies to develop an online presence could help address the lingering unemployment that currently plagues developing countries.

தென் தமிழகத்தில் தகவல் தொழில் நுட்பத் துறையின் வளர்ச்சி பற்றி உங்கள் கருத்து என்ன?
முதலில் ஒட்டு மொத்த இந்தியாவின் ஐ.டி துறை வளர்ச்சிப் பாதை பற்றி ஒரு சுருக்கமான விளக்கம். இந்தியாவில் எண்பதுகளில் துளிர் விடத் தொடங்கிய தகவல் தொழில் நுட்பத் துறை வளர்ச்சியானது தொன்னூறுகளில்  வேர் விட்டு கிளை பரப்பி ஆழ விருட்சமாய் வளந்தது. முக்கியமாக தென்னிந்தியாவில் பெங்களூரு, சென்னை மற்றும் ஐதராபாத் போன்ற பெரு நகரங்கள் இத் துறையின் பெறும் பயன்களைப் பெற்றன. இந்திய ஐ.டி தொழில் துறை இரண்டாயிரமாவது வருடத்தில் \’டாட் காம் பஸ்ட்\’ (dot com bust) என்று  சொல்லப்படும் பிரச்சினையால் பெறும் பின்னடைவை சந்தித்தது. அதாவது இணைய சேவைகளுக்கான அடிப்படை கட்டமைப்புகளும், தொழில் நுட்பங்களும் மற்றும் பயனீட்டாளர்களின் எண்ணிக்கையும் அனுகூலமற்ற ஒரு கால கட்டத்தில் பல்வேறு இணையம் சார்ந்த சேவைகள் சந்தைக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்யப்பட்டன. ஏராளமான பணம் முதலீடு செய்யப்பட்டது. ஆனால் குறுகிய காலத்திலேய இந்த முயற்சிகள் பெறும் தோல்வியை சந்தித்தன. அதன் பின்பு ஓரிரு வருடங்களில் பல்வேறு சேவைத்துறை சார்ந்த வெளிநாட்டு வியாபார வாய்ப்புகள் குவியத் தொடங்கி விட்டன. 2008 ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை சீரான வளர்ச்சிப் பாதையில் சென்று கொண்டிருந்த இந்திய ஐ.டி துறையின் வளர்ச்சி அதன் பின்பு ஏற்பட்ட சர்வதேச பொருளாதார தேக்க நிலையின் காரணமாக மீண்டும் பெறும் பின்னடைவை சந்திக்க நேரிட்டது. கடந்த சில மாதங்களாக இந்த நிலைமை ஓரளவு சீரடைந்து வருவதாக புள்ளி விபரங்களும் வல்லுநர் கூற்றுக்களும் தெரிவிக்கின்றன.

\"\"Google\’s Nexus 7 tablet is on display here at Google I/O, and I spent some time handling the device to see how it compares with its Android competition. And the truth is, my first impression is that it seems to get a lot right, but it\’s not a complete, compromise-free home run for Google. Here\’s why.

What\’s Right

The display, even in the funky lighting of a trade show floor, still looked good. The high-resolution 1280 by 800 pixel display makes a huge difference compared with the current standard for 7-inch tablets–1024 by 600 pixels. I look forward to putting the Nexus 7 through its full paces with PCWorld\’s display test images to see how it responds with my own high-resolution images. But the Nexus 7\’s higher resolution is clearly a plus.

With its small size and rubberized back, the Nexus 7 can easily be held in one hand.I also liked the grippy, rubberized back that, coupled with the tablet\’s light, 0.75-pound weight, makes it really easy to hold in one hand. That makes it conducive to reading or sharing content with friends.

In my limited usage, the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS made the unit feel zippy in general navigation, but I still encountered moments of stutter as I switched among media.

It is obvious that in the IT success story of Tamilnadu, Madurai and the southern districts have missed the opportunities in the past while other cities like Chennai and Coimbatore enjoyed the maximum benefits. Now, the current trend indicates a slow recovery from a global recession, which is a natural phenomenon as far as any economy is concerned. But, IT still remains a highly potential industry, which can fuel the economy and we feel that Madurai should have its share of benefits at least now. SIDA with a vision of making this a reality would strive to create an appropriate ecosystem and convivial climate to enhance the growth of the IT sector in Madurai and the southern parts of Tamil Nadu.
