Event: “Consortium led approach for exponential growth” organized by Software Industries Development Association (SIDA)

  • ·         Attended by over 50 SIDA member organizations and it’s representatives

Event Objective:

To mentor the members on the necessity of SIDA members to work as a consortium to pursue common interests, thereby grow together in terms of revenue, size and help the regional economy.

Excerpts from the event & Key note:

  • ·         Consortium is the way for SIDA member companies towards working together and growing together.
  • ·          SIDA members have disparate technology strengths and specialized in different business areas. However, they cannot scale up beyond a level, because they are small. Synergies from combined strengths and capacities can make SIDA consortium ONE stronger entity
  • ·         Being together and presenting as one entity could earn the trust from Governments, Public and private enterprises, thus to get preferential allotment and relaxation of norms
  • ·         Execution is the key. Building necessary infrastructure, creating working models, innovative business models can help to grow faster
  • ·         The consortium approach would result in at least 10 times of growth for SIDA members in 3 years, 10,000 jobs for aspirants in the region, prosperity and economic growth in the South Tamilnadu

At last, all members unanimously passed a voice vote that Consortium formation Activities can be commenced. The necessary task forces shall be formed in the next 2 weeks time.
