SIDA and CEDI-NITT Sign MoU to Strengthen Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Event Overview

The Software Industry Development Association (SIDA) and the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI), NIT Tiruchirappalli, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, skill development, and stronger industry-academia collaboration.

The MoU was signed by Mr. S. A. Saravana Pandian, President, SIDA, and Dr. M. Umapathy, Director, CEDI-NITT, in the presence of representatives from both organisations.

The partnership aims to build a collaborative ecosystem connecting industry, academia, startups, entrepreneurs, researchers, and students through entrepreneurship initiatives, startup incubation, industry mentoring, internships, industry projects, joint events, research, technology commercialisation, and industry-aligned skill development.

The collaboration will also create valuable opportunities for SIDA member companies to engage with emerging talent from NIT Trichy, contribute industry expertise, participate in innovation programmes, connect with startups, and explore collaborative research and product development.

This partnership marks an important step towards strengthening industry-academia engagement and creating meaningful opportunities for innovation, talent development, and entrepreneurial growth.
Through this initiative, SIDA continues its commitment to advancing the software, IT, digital technology, and startup ecosystem by fostering strategic partnerships and enabling impactful collaboration between industry and academia.
